I bought Chris tickets to see the Utah Jazz play here in Memphis. The Grizzlies won, but it was still fun to go to a game.

March 2014

I'm so behind on documenting this last year, and I've put off getting caught up because I knew it would take awhile. For the grandparents who read our blog I will finally catch you up.

In March we had some very nice weather as show above, 2 days later the temperature dropped to the teens and we had a crazy ice/snow storm. Chris was stuck at work for 4 days, one of those was without power. The freeway was shut down and people were stranded on the interstate. I was grateful we never lost power at home.

We didn't go anywhere for 3 days because I couldn't get our car to move, too much snow and ice. Here Caleb is playing on the icy playground. It's a layer of ice, snow, and more ice. Then he skated with his boots on the surface. 

 Our good friends the de Hoyos Family came for a visit at the end of March. Caleb was so excited to have a friend his age that was a boy to play with.

Field trip to Brooks Museum of Art, we had 11 total kids and 3 adults.

Little Man

Our baby is 1! I can't believe how fast this past year had gone. We celebrated Bronson's first birthday many times over. We had our good friends over, the Barnums and the Greens, for dinner and games. 

We also explored the toy store, had a picnic, and played at the park. It was a few days of fun for this little guy and his big brother. Happy Birthday Bronson- we sure love you!!

Ringing in the New Year in St Louis

Chris had recurrent training to complete at the end of December, in St Louis again. This was our second trip there - we really love St Louis; so much to do! The first day Chris was busy with work so the boys and I built a fort, played in the stairway, and swam. Chris finished up that night and was able to play with us the rest of our visit. 

We went to the coolest playground/activity center I have ever seen! It's called City Museum- St Louis. It has amazing architecture transplanted from some of the city's oldest buildings. The best way I can describe it is a playground on steroids. Any age can play, slide, climb, explore, ect. We spent a few hours there and were exhausted by the end. So much fun, we hope to go back. We also visited the science center, swam some more, and ate out. It was a great way to ring in the New Year. 

Christmas

 We had a wonderful Christmas this year. Chris did have to work the night shift the week of Christmas but we were still able to get in family time and the traditional Christmas breakfast. Caleb met Santa at out little library. Santa was great! He sang carols with the kids and talked to them about the true meaning of Christmas- Christ, and how we all need to remember Him and be thankful for His life. This is one of the things I love about living in the South. The people here are very religious and openly talk about their faith. They are such good examples to me. 

Halloween 2013

We love fall and Halloween at our house. This year we went to a cool place called Cedar Hill Farms with our good friends the Greens. We took a hay ride, watched pig races, rode a zip line and monster slides made of pipe, and picked our own pumpkins. 

 I also helped with Caleb's preschool Halloween party (he's the 3rd from the left on the back row). He had a great time dressing up and was forever asking when Halloween was coming again.

A Trip to Utah

Pretty Baby Blues

My grandma passed away this past fall. We decided to take the whole family and jet out to Utah for a short visit. Although it wasn't the ideal reason for a visit we enjoyed celebrating her life, visiting family, and take in some of our favorite activities and sites. Chris and Caleb are on top of the hay pyramid at the Little River Bottoms Corn Maze.

My sister graciously watched our boys while Chris and I attended the Logan Temple.

We had a short visit with Great Grandpa Moon. Chris and Caleb went out to help him feed the cows, Caleb loved it!
