ALASKA?!

What is in Alaska you might ask? A new job for Chris - we are so excited!! I'll give you the watered down version of what led up to this new job. Chris has always wanted to move past instruction and into the commercial sector, we just thought it would happen a lot sooner. Well, after 4 years he finally has enough hours to move on. He applied for a job with Temsco Helicopters and was offered the job a week ago. He will train in a turbine powered helicopter and fly tours in the Juneau or Skagway area (follow the link if you'd like to see more http://www.temscoair.com). For those of you not up on your aviation lingo a turbine engine means more power (insert your manly grunt here)! We are excited, nervous, antsy, and a little scared about our new adventure but ready to take the leap. Our time in Arizona has been wonderful and leaving is bitter sweet. We are so grateful for the experiences we've had (most of all for Caleb joining our family) and the friends we've made! We will sure miss all of you and thank you for your love and friendship.

You've got my husband salivating over here! He worked in Skagway the summer before we got married working for Princess Cruiselines giving tours. He said he thinks it was one of these helicopters that took him on a glacier. We might have to come visit ;)

Wow you guys! That is awesome! I was secretly hoping that when you moved next it would be closer to us, but what a fun adventure for your family! :)

I am so happy for you guys! Chris, and Jessie, you have both worked mighty hard these past few years, and now your hard work is paying off. Heck, I stop people on the street to tell them your news!

How exciting Jessie! We are happy for you, but sad that you'll be leaving AZ. Alaska looks awesome though and I'm sure you'll love the greenery and wildlife.
